hi
i have CECH-2504B 320 GB and my ps3 turn off after green light and no light i dont think it ylod because i replaced thermal paste and the same problem

here is video for my problem

BTW: my brother went to maintenance and they said something about CPU and cant fix it

i was in CFW REBUG 4.80.1 LightRa1n Mod

And sorry for my bad english

Either you have damaged MOBO while replacing thermal paste or IT has YLOD , as it does not look like faulty PSU ;)

BTW. your english is very good ;)

Take another video or the front of the system and the hard drive light. I want to see what that is doing while it turns on. That does say alot. Did it just do this or did it work before and you install something onto it, like new cfw or anything like that. Thanks.

there is nothing no light ever, i have this ps3 since 2011 so i installed a lot CFW and i never had any problem with my ps3, as i said in thread my CFW REBUG 4.80.1 LightRa1n Mod and i installed it 2 months before this problem

If nothing comes up on the screen then it's probably an issue with the motherboard. If it worked before you changed the thermal paste then I'm guessing the clamps are not holding the chips down. The screws that push the heatsinks to the CPU and GPU can strip really easy and they won't tighten all the way.

Clamp is only there to hold heat sink noting more , CPU/GPU is held by balls that are solder in between them ;)

another trick to fix ylod is to make custom washers that help with pressure on the gpu i used copper pennies driled out soe holes then fastened and havent had any issues , my ps3 is fat model OG lmao , if you have fixed YLOD it more then likely is the same issue and whatever fix you have been using is a bandaid at best its needs REBALLING asap further ylod diy fixes can increase the risk of a complete paper weight. wish you the best fellow gamer!!!

Guys i also have problem like that i tried to jailbreak my ps3 slim 2001b whose minimum version was 3.66 but my ps3 turns off immediately after 2 sec plz help me how to fix this and i dont know much about the ps3 so plz help me with a video

Well my experience is similar. unfortunately there is no fix. My ps3 was on OFW as i was updating it to the new OFW 4.82 it was doing so until 95% and stops. it was rebooting for a few times. After a week of struggling to get it working I failed on getting it working now.

It was never oped nor jailbroken or YLOD. what it does now is it comes on wit no display after 30 to 45 sec it just shuts off. i contacted sony repairs and thy said its hardware failure. i can send it in and pay an excess fee and thy will send me a refurbished ps3.
