SO i've read that sony is blocking the webkit playgrounds. I have my 1.76 PS4 (Old Destiny Bundle) thats never been connected to the internet, just been sitting in a box waiting for the scene to progress, which seems to be coming along very nicely in recent days, huge thanks to the devs.

Just wanted to let you guys know what firmware the ps4 has installed and that's its never been online, if any of that matters. My concern is now that sony is blocking the webkit am I screwed since I waited so long or are there other options for loading payloads?

On a side note, correct me if I'm wrong, but the web kit playground needs to be loaded every reboot or does it stick? If it needs to be loaded every reboot does rest mode prevent the need to load playground again?

Sorry if I'm babbling I just woke up, and have been excited about the recent progress, now I'm reading that sony if trying to shut it down and I'm freaking out a bit lol

Yep, it was reported that Sony has at least been blocking the e✘treme Playground for those not using a proxy.

That said, if your PS4 1.76 has never been connected to the Internet I would definitely read THIS assuming you haven't already. ;)

Also the Webkit Playground would need to be reloaded every time you shut down the PS4 similar to some of the other RTE/RTM's for 1.76 consoles as they reside in the memory area.

Hey PSXHAX thanks for replying to my post, you do great work here, sir! I guess it's time to unbox this bad boy and have some fun before I miss the opportunity. I've been lurking the scene since PS3 3.55, those were the days :) I'm no dev by any means but I had a few ideas which may be totally impossible but maybe they will inspire someone with more talent than I or get people thinking more creatively and create something even better.

Is there any way to create a LAN disconnected from the internet to host a playground hosting on a local pc rather than going online with the console? Like the GTA5 DNS hack worked a long time ago?

I have read that article in the past but my memory was a bit fuzzy about the details revealed and that's why I mentioned it because it seemed significant. Now that I've re-read it, screw that! I don't want those sneaks stealth patching my ps4. Sony are such try hards.

Since they are cracking down on playgrounds could there be a homebrew solution developed that could leverage playground as an initial entry point to execute a payload to install, or modify, an existing pkg installed on the ps4 that could open a homebrew loader or playground when the installed modified pkg is loaded after reboot, thus eliminating the need for playground every reboot, like turning ps4 "playroom" in to a homebrew launcher for example. Similar to N3ds homebrew launcher be loaded through the health and safety warning.

The scene is advancing quickly and I'm impressed how much work you guys, the mods and devs put into this, it's truly appreciated. I can't wait to see what you have for us next.

To run the exploit offline I see THIS post, and as far as the Playground goes according to CTurt's documentation it can be cloned and uploaded to your own server... which I'm assuming can be done via LAN, although if someone else has actually done it do chime in to confirm for us and thanks in advance! <3

Update: There is also a guide now here: Create PS4 / PC Local Server to Launch WebKit Exploits by Markus95

Download all the 1.76 playground - Install xmapp put the files into HTdocs folder - goto ps4 input your php ip into ps4 browser and launch playground should show up and enjoy simple
