Black screen using Artemis help?

Hi I just bought a jailbreak ps3 2 weeks ago so I'm really new to this and my knowledge about ps3 is really low. I want to use some cheats using artemis but I can seem to make it work all. I followed all the tutorial and video but can't make it work.

the problem I'm facing is when I try to use artemis with a code selected it black screens. I tried using artemis first with codes selected and when I tried to load a game using multiman it also black screens.

with out artemis multiman and the game works fine (I'm playing tales of xilia 2 English version)

my system software is 4.80
artemis is r4
on multiman it said firmware 4.78
firmware mode cobra 7.30
I think my ps3 is a fat/ old model

I also tried a post that said to disable the systemcall 8 and I did that using webman mode and I choose to disable permanently I hope that does not ruin my system.

Please any help will be appreciated.

I haven't used ArtemisPS3 myself, but it sounds like you're using the latest ArtemisPS3-GUI.pkg version and followed the official install guide fine.

You mentioned you were on 4.80 (or 4.78 spoofed) CFW with Cobra 7.30 so unless there is a specific CFW conflict hopefully you'll get a reply on your post to the developers directly.

If anyone here has experienced the same black screen issue and knows of a fix feel free to reply

Thanks for the reply I read that cobra does not work with artemis and there is a way to disable cobra do you know a way to disable cobra safely thanks

According to WebMAN's combos.h you can toggle Cobra using ++

As for the 'permanently' part mentioned in your above post, you can always reinstall CFW back over so it shouldn't ruin your PS3 or anything like that.

If u want best of both worlds install rebug and disable cobra in toolbox , easy as 1,2,3

can you direct me to a tutorial on how to install it I don't know which version to install the dex, cex or rex.

You would most likely want the latest Rebug REX (Retail) version from their site named 'REBUG 4.80.1 REX EDITION' if you scroll all the way to the bottom here: http://rebug.me/official-rebug-4-80-1-cobra-7-3-toolbox-2-02-10-may-2016/

As for installation, in summary:

• Download the .zip archive, then from the link inside download the PUP file.
• Verify the hash: cb75654175c8c42f8bed8b1a73bcad1b
• Rename the PUP to PS3UPDAT.PUP and put it on your FAT32 formatted flash drive in PS3\UPDATE
• Go to 'System Update' and 'Update via Storage Media' to install it.

Also ensure there is no game disc mounted or in the PS3 drive prior to following the steps above, and (obviously) don't 'Update via Internet' as that would install Sony's OFW not Rebug CFW.
