    Why shouldn't there be a way? The FW requirement for games is just there to force you to update. Hopefully a way becomes available to fake the ps4 and the games should run. Its probably easier to run new games on old fw than to downgrade a fw.

    Nice, that means that sony keeps all previous update pkgs on their servers and not just the most recent one. If we have the links we can download exactly the ones working for 4.05 and update the game as far as possible for 4.05.

    It seems you can only download the most recent game update pkg from both linked pkg database sites. How did he acquire the 1.06 update when the most recent one is 1.09? You can only download this one. And how did he know that the 1.06 update can be installed with 4.05? Guessing?

    Havent there been some videos showing that it is possible to install update pkgs with the debug menu? And does such an install enforce a newer fw or prevent the game from running after the install?

    That would be nice. The fw requirements for patches are mostly only to prevent backups and to keep people updated. The games dont actually need new features of newer fw versions so this could work.
