How to play PSP, PS1 and PS2 games on Rebug 4.80.1 CEX CFW

Hi everyone, can you please teach me how to play psp, ps1 and ps2 games on my cfw ps3 especially the psp? I have tried the psp remaster way using the psp2ps3.exe and minis.exe that converts them to pkg but they don't work, once it's about to turn it into a pkg file, it shows and error and fails. The iso works well on my phone when i use the ppsspp app. I tried searching online but it wasn't really helpful. Any suggestion would be really helpful. Thanks.

It is possible but supported list is quite limited , If you up for challenge there was a topic on old site you have to dig after it ps1 mostly works of iso , ps2/psp there is conversion tool in multiman but list is very limited you better of buying ps2 fat installing network adaptor and playing direct of hdd or instaling FMCB and using ESR for patching dvd-s, ahh and one more thing all ps2/ps1/psp must be on internal hdd

Well, PS1 disks work either original or burnt on PS3 CFW. I play them on my Phat and Slim all of the time.

Sorry for replying late, had some papers to write but now am free to game. Thanks, now my ps2 games work well. Any news about the psp? Also thanks, ps1 games work well too.

Hi everyone, thanks for all the help about the ps1 and ps2 on ps3 part. I have found a solution concerning the psp on ps3 and you don't need to convert some to minis or remastered but you can if you want better graphics quality.

After extensive research (buy extensive i means scrolling around google for 1 whole hour) i was able to find a solution and this gives a higher compatibility with psp games on ps3 now.

Firstly, all psp games must be iso and stored on the ps3 internal hdd in the pspiso folder (i don't know about external but i will still check). Or you can just convert it to pkg, depends on if one doesn't work for you.

Secondly, go to brewology and download two pkg (link below):

PSP Launcher Fixed [jjkkyu]: http://store.brewology.com/get/homebrew.php?id=247&fid=1240
PSP Remasters 3D [butnut]: http://store.brewology.com/get/homebrew.php?id=247&fid=1296

Once that's done, install both and you will see two new apps call psplauncher in a minis folder and psp remastered.

Once that's done, Go to this link: http://psx-scene.com/forums/f339/boot-psp-iso-cobra-psp-launcher-psp-remaster-mode-119171/ and follow the instructions.

Once you are done, go to multiman or webman and mount the game then try to load it with minis and if minis dosen't work, try remastered.

Hi everyone.

I need some help. I'm on the latest version of Rebug DEX. It's the first time my PS3 is hacked and never installed anything on it. I tried to install the original PSP flasher, and everything is OK. Then I tried to installed over it the Mini and Mastermod packages. No one of they installs. I click on the pkg files, it tried to open it and then come back to the package folder. The installation do not start. Why is this happening?

I tried to install the original PSP flasher again, and it installs OK, but the other versions don't

I finally found what I've been looking for!

I figured out the apps went into a bubble (read in another forum) when I click on them, instead of installing on-the-fly! This is weird because some other apps simply install clicking on them!

The other problem is that I don't find any bubble anywhere! As this is the first time I deal with PS3 CFW's, I didn't know what installation bubbles are. And as far as I dig, I think the bubbles appear on a different place than on older CFW's. The bubbles are hidden on this lastest rebug CFW. That's why I thought the installation didn't do anything!

When the apps go to a bubble, we have to "install" them twice.

What bubble, this ain't vita we talk about it can install under games on XMB

I'm talking about PS3 of course, on the latest Rebug Custom firmware.

When you go to install some packages (not all packages), they move to a bubble, and you have to install them from there.

This tricks me once! And I'm sharing my experience, maybe it helps someone else.
