We've covered several PS4 Linux Guides and Progress in recent months detailing How to Install Steam on PS4 Linux, and now PlayStation 4 modder EdiTzZ MoDz of Editzz.net shared a video demonstration of Fedora Linux on PS4 1.76 featuring PS4 Debug Settings and Steam. (y)

He also has a PS4 Playground page set up for PlayStation 4 developers, and from the video's caption:

[PS4/1.76] Working Fedora Linux on PS4 [Play on Steam, Debug Settings]

It's been a while since I uploaded a video :D
PS3 Modding Scene is nearly dead...
For PS4 there aren't many things to show...
But I'm sure there will be more to show :)

In this video I'm showing Fedora Linux with Radeon Patches and Steam Installed. This is nothing new... But one of the only things I can show (for now).

Cheers to @HydrogenNGU for sharing the news on Twitter earlier today! <3

I really think that everyone drank the cool aid from the PS3 scene. Everyone hates the idea of true blue. I think that the devs know that no one wants to pay for a true blue type of dongle and that if they do release one, it will just get reverse engineered and released for free.

No one is going to release anything to the public unless they can make a profit of it. That is why nothing is being released on anything other than 1.76. That is just my opinion. I am java developer by trade but I haven't done any work on hacking the PS4.

There are several ways to make it more secure.

One of clever ways is to make online activation tied to console ID. Dongle would need to be activated on the PC with internet access with AES key. It's firmware would be encrypted too with key to prevent mods.

Im still waiting for backup manager, paid or free. It doesn't matter for me.

Stay on a console with 1.76 update and lose a lot of functionality, just to install linux, not worth it, so far have not found anything! If they someday find something that really works and open the doors in 4.7 onwards keeping their functionality then I will really say that sony lost the war.
uh.. What war? Maybe some imaginary war inside your head. Also, being able to try & play PC games on console "not worth it"? Because that makes sense.

Nice video, but an img-file or a tutorial would be much appreciated. I already posted on the original (?) thread on nextgenupdate.com. I hope he sees my post and gives us either some directions or better yet a fedora image with the latest patches included.

All speaking about 1.76 , i have chance to buy it , but who until now can prove what i will backup games and play free on it ? ! , so for what i have to pay a lot of money for 1.76 right now ? Good answers will help :)
