Assistance with PS3 4.81 / 4.82 backup injection

I restored a backup yesterday that had Red Dead Redemption (BLUS30418) in it. I made sure that i changed it to HG game and made sure that the versions are matching to the one from the update. After i used the kiosk installer and tried to restore the backup everything went fine until i tried to start the game. Now it asks for a disc like if it was a disc game.

According to the dev wiki: ENOLICDISC 0x8001003D
Pointer is null. When related to PARAM.SFO : "to play this game, you must insert the following disc. Insert the disc, and then start the game again. (8001003D)": can be resolved by pointing to (only) other PARAM.SFO with Lxx folder. In this case, it s similar than 0x8001003E but with some PARAM.SFO parameter (TITLE_ID?) embedded.

Sorry red dead was announced in february of 2009 and was launched in 2010

In OFW 4.81 we cant inject Licdir folder or lic.dat but if we put the pkg of our game and pkg of our updates in pkg folder of TABR we can inject the packages and install in our ps3 and get it functional?

From where did you downloaded the game? Ps3gameconvert and CFW2OFW does licdir folder when converts the game

Try with BLES01294 in the CFW2OFW Compatibility list is the release used

I'm sorry i wouldn't like to share where i got the game from. I'm trying to keep this thread away from backups as much as i can. (Talking about it is also kinda in the gray area for me.) BTW it had a licdir from the start, so it was not created by any of the programs you mentioned and i didn't use any of them.

I dont know because some people gets red dead working in ofw 4.81 without DTU but using the GOTY

You should format a flash drive/external HDD to FAT32, then create a folder called PS3 inside that one named UPDATE and copy the firmware update there you should copy your PS3UPDAT.PUP but be warned sometimes you cannot revert from SEX firmware aka the kiosk fw.
