If we did that we'd have a site full of useless, similar thread titles that all quickly became outdated each time the scene progressed and search engines would flag them as duplicate content if we included version numbers in all the titles.

That definitely isn't recommended for any site as it isn't natural to humans searching for things online, so in the end a balance must be kept by doing everything in moderation.

Some articles already containing 1.76 in the title are outdated since they work on higher Firmware now, and others contain more descriptive titles versus including redundant version numbers in them leaving the version numbers in the articles themselves.

For example in the article linked in the OP PS4ME (PS4 Memory Editor) PS4ME.dll & PS4METool Payload by J0lama the title was too long already to fit 1.76 in it but if you read the article content from the dev it says the following, to quote:

"PS4ME.dll is a Windows library with all the necessary functions to be able to link to a PS4 (Version 1.76 for now) and to be able to read / write process memory."

So if we chose to include 1.76 in the title even though the developer himself admits it's only "for now" then we would have left out a more important and unique search term and ended up with an obsolete article title the minute it works on 3.50, 4.00, 4.01, etc (and no we can't keep changing the titles either).

If anyone has other ideas (besides prefixes and titles) feel free to share them... as mentioned before though, who is going to continuously update them for all the articles?

It won't be me, once the weather gets nicer I'll be online less and outside more as most here will probably be enjoying their summer also.
