Backup / Decrypt PS4 Games & Run on HDD Guide by Modded Warfare

Last month we saw a Building PS4 v1.76 Payloads Tutorial from him, and today PlayStation 4 Modder @MODDEDWARFARE returns with a guide on his YouTube Channel covering how to backup / decrypt PS4 disc games and run them from the hard drive on 1.76 consoles.

How to backup and decrypt your PS4 disc games and run them from the hard drive without the original disc.

You can also use this to backup a game and send it to someone so they can run the game without the disc. This only works on 1.76 PS4's for now.

I think the pkg games are different and are locked or I could be wrong ?

whats the CUSAxxxxx-app0-nest /pfs_image.dat file for

pfs_image.dat is like a packed version of the game files. You can unpack them into the raw game files using ArchiveExplorer. Example:

However I don't see much point in doing that since you have access to the game files directly anyway. As for games as .pkg files as far as I know nothing has been released that can extract them yet.

The reason being every one has different games if everyone upload different decrypted cracks.

We all have access to the website that has .pkgs for download then we are able to pick and chose what we want and don’t. And decrypts are a fast dL

If there was a database with the decrypts and if we are able to extract .pkgs. Makes sense to me thanks I got what I needed

o didnt see the link above for watchdog lol but i still post it in about 2 hours for you to test

so I do structure like this on a hardrive with a game in xxxx then plug into ps4 usb. then load same way as we do with real disk in ps4 ?

boot webkit page select waiting for payload then send diskid payload and start real game disk ?

Use kernel_hooks for usb to send and the game then launch from Playroom without real disk in ps4.

We need ftp and a few other payloads before we can get backups running on 4.05!
