PS3 Error 80010038 when doing CFW to OFW transfer

I'm trying to do a data transfer between CFW and OFW , some games are crashing the transfer with an 80010038 error , games such as God of War III and God of War Ascension , perhaps Little Big Planet 2 (it's hard to identify the exact game that is causing the error)

I have tried multiple ways of fixing it , using PAL and NTSC , using one update or using all updates.

I have no clue what to do , been trying and losing sleep for a week.
Any advice ?

hmmm try to restore the filesystem on both ps3s and try it again

-hold power button to reach the recovery menu

Maybe a problem with the hdd

I did restore filesystem on the source ps3 , does it matter on the receiving one since the hdd gets formatted anyway ?

Try it... it can also be that one hdd is defect... You can test it on windows - You will not see the HDD in windows but a S.M.A.R.T tool will recognize it....

Its very very often that HDD or BD drive gets broken... Its one thing Sony did to sell the newer devices i think... My HDD on my PC runs all the day since many years without trouble and on the PS3 a little block failure will stop the ps from working.....
