In PS5Scene news today, amid PS5 Pro rumors and since the initial reports it appears the new PlayStation 5 Model CFI-1200 (PS5 1200 Series) is slated for launch in Japan on September 15th according to mainstream media outlets. 
Renka_schedule reports that the PlayStation 5's next minor change model CFI-1200 series will be released on September 15th with both a PS5 Disc Drive and PS5 Digital Edition already listed... while noting that in the last minor revision there was a weight reduction of 300 grams and some screw changes.
This comes following Sony Interactive Entertainment President & CEO Jim Ryan's previous confirmation that due to the current global economic environment (including high inflation rates) the PS5 price will inevitably increase in select markets across Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), Asia-Pacific (APAC), Latin America (LATAM) as well as Canada... however, there will be no price increase in the United States he stated.
