Today a new PS4 DualShock 4 controller model CUH-ZCT2U was spotted passing through the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for approval.

According to DualShockers.com, here is what's new in the PS4 DualShock 4 CUH-ZCT2U controller to quote:

"The new controller has the same weight, the same power supply voltage and battery amperage as the previous three iterations registered by the FCC. The only visible difference in the specs is the Bluetooth antenna. That said, there is one difference in the code that stands out.

All DualShock 4 models since the release of the PS4 used the CUH-ZCT1 code, excluding special editions like the Star Wars one, that have a completely different code. This is the first model that makes a digit jump from the original, moving from “ZCT1” to “ZCT2,” possibly indicating the first major revision of the controller."

Cheers to @Plankton for the heads up in the Shoutbox on this HOT summer day!

That is what a lot of people were hoping, but thus far I haven't read anything confirming the battery life has been improved... short of keeping a backup controller charging while using another :p
