PlayStation 5 (PS5) & DualShock 5 (DS5) Controller Concept Designs

If you haven't voted in the PlayStation 5 Poll yet go for it, and today's addition to our PS5 News forum includes some PlayStation 5 (PS5) and DualShock 5 (DS5) Controller concept designs and video renderings by graphic artists including Kevin Tan, David Hansson and Danny Haymond Jr in association with PS5PlayStation5.com, their YouTube Channel and PS5Home.com.

It will be interesting to see what Sony design engineers end up with in coming years compared to these fan-made concepts!

Isn't the PS5 all together a rumor ? There has been no official announcement yet, so there is no PS5 yet, not even an announcement if they are working on it. So even the PS5 is still "a rumor" in my eyes....

We know developers are working on next-generation games and the video game market is continuing to expand, so the likelihood of the entire industry ceasing to exist before Sony officially announces their next-gen platform is far outweighed by more logical factors like billions of dollars in revenue for companies, hundreds of thousands of jobs in the field, history repeating itself four times already with the PS1/PS2/PS3/PS4 and record console sales recently confirmed by Sony directly.

In your eyes the PS5 itself may still be considered a rumor, but in many others eyes and more importantly to the rest of the industry it's not a matter of if but when it will be released.

However, the scope of this article has nothing to do with whether the PS5 will inevitably exist or not, that is only the subject matter of the artwork this news piece is covering.

Keep in mind concept designs by nature are just that- they do not have to physically exist as a tangible item as they are expressions by the artist that created them portraying something as they see it through their own eyes.

Therefore, the concept designs depicted do exist (as you're looking at them) so in and of themselves they're not a rumor because the pixels on your screen form the images that have been compressed and stored as image files that your eyes clearly see as PS5 concept designs.

Expect to see a LOT more PS5 stuff long before Sony officially reveals their hand 'confirming' their next-gen entry, remember they're the same folks who still wouldn't confirm the PS3 Slim existed even after pictures of it surfaced on the Internet.
