PlayStation 5 (PS5) & PlayStation VR 2 (PSVR2) Concepts by VR4Player

It's been awhile since we've added any new topics to the PS5 News forum section, and since the last update recent PlayStation 5 headlines creating a buzz on the Interwebs for Sony's next-generation console include the following to recap briefly:

• Analyst Hideki Yasuda of Osaka-based Ace Securities Japanese firm reports PS5 is expected to arrive in late 2019, but it might be delayed due to a parts shortage.

• A PS5 codename of Erebus was debunked by Epic's Arjan Brussee who stated, "FYI references to 'Erebus' in UE4 code only refer to the codename for the Switch version of FortniteGame before we announced it."

• Sony Corporation Chief Executive Officer Kenichiro Yoshida confirmed in a Financial Times report yesterday that a next-gen console is seen by the company as a necessity stating, "At this point, what I can say is it's necessary to have a next-generation hardware."
