Since the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog PS4 / PS5 Updates, the incoming PS Plus titles for September 2024 feature Quidditch Champions, MLB The Show 24 and Little Nightmares II for subscribers... all playable beginning on September 3rd. ➕

Here's more on each of these incoming PSPlus titles from Sony Interactive Entertainment Content Acquisition & Operations Director Adam Michel, to quote:

Quidditch Champions | PS4, PS5

Immerse yourself in the enchanting world of Quidditch by playing solo or sharing the magic with friends and family.

Live your Quidditch fantasy: take to the sky as one of the classic positions – Chaser, Seeker, Keeper or Beater – each with their own unique play style. Soar into legendary Quidditch arenas and new maps that showcase never-before-seen areas of the wizarding world.

Take on Career Mode to progress from backyard battles in the Weasley Burrow to high-stakes showdowns at the Quidditch World Cup. Rise to become a champion either solo or in online co-op with teams of up to three friends, and launch into exhibition matches where you’ll set your teams, map and difficulty and play alone or on teams of up to three in online co-op. Or select player vs player to test your skills in competitive online matches against other Quidditch teams.

MLB The Show 24 | PS4, PS5

Swing for the fences, experience game-deciding moments, become a legend and live out your baseball dreams. Set out on the road to baseball greatness – whatever it is you want to achieve, MLB The Show 24 has got you covered.

Earn your call up from the minors to the big leagues and prove you’ve got what it takes at the top. Learn about known and unsung legends of the sport and take inspiration from their heroics. Hold your nerve when it matters and earn the right to be called World Series champions.

Chalk up the wins, pick yourself up after the losses. Whatever happens, know you left nothing in the dugout. Everyone has a moment to own. Everyone has a story to tell. Unlock your moment. Own The Show.

Little Nightmares II | PS4, PS5

Discover the sinister secrets of The Signal Tower in this horror-themed platform adventure where you control Mono, a young boy trapped in a distorted and broken world. Joined by Six, the raincoat wearing hero from the original Little Nightmares, only you can help her from fading away into nothingness.

As the relationship between Mono and Six grows, the duo must work together using a combination of stealth and an array of items to overcome tricky puzzles and horrifying enemies. Muster your courage and begin your journey in the face of terrible threats in a mission to stop the source of evil that’s spreading throughout the land.

The PS Plus membership has been disappointing for me lately. The quality of the monthly games just isn't what I expected, especially for a next gen console like the PS5.

It feels like they aren't delivering the value that was promised especially after hiking the price. It's frustrating to pay more and get less in return.

Each and every month this year, none of the games that have been released on the PlayStation plus essential tier seem enticing enough to continue paying for it.

Seems like PlayStation has been deliberately pushing out such low quality titles to encourage us to upgrade and pay more for the Extra game catalogue, which honestly seems disappointing since paying more than 100 USD (pricing apt to my region) is a bit over the top considering it does not account for the per capita income which is approximately 1.19 USD a day in my country.

With such inflated prices, which seem to keep blowing up every six months, promising you just a license to access these games and not even having the right to own them forever doesn't necessarily put a smile on my face, especially since it means that once I stop paying all my access to the games I really wish to own on their platform will be revoked.

Hopefully this changes soon and they lower the prices of their subscription otherwise the next option will be to unsubscribe and stop playing GTA Online with the boys.

I have a PS+ subscription mainly for the online gaming on GT7 and similar games. I have been a subscriber since the early days of the PS4 (PS3 did not need PS+ subscription to play online). I have built up quite a catalogue of PS+ games over this time, some great games as well as some poor ones.

Overall I am quite pleased with the content. This September's offerings look decent. I have never played a baseball game so looking forward to that one.

Well at the very least, PS+ is introducing me to new games... I had no idea there was a quidditch game. As a harry potter fan that's honestly kind of embarrassing.

So many years into the life of the PS+ service and not once have I been tempted to subscribe to it either for online play or the catalogue of 'free' games.

Somehow, the idea of paying for the online component of video games on top of my ISP bills and potentially an MMO's subscription doesn't sit well with me. Sure, it prevents me from playing with my friends sometimes, but I have my PC for that.

I really don't understand the benefit of playstation plus 😅, I see the games included on playstation plus but they are not interesting at all 😅, almost nothing catches your eyes. I'm really happy to have a jailbroken console.

I mean, Little Nightmares is ok, but that's it. There really is no point in have ps plus. The Fpkg scene is much better and updated frequently.

The jailbreaking scene is advancing quite nicely, while ps plus is reverting into being completely worthless. Thanks for the news anyways.
