I agree. Plus I know that soldering the mod chips on the ps2, also means that you have to solder to some of the legs on the chips. This is like soldering to the legs on the ps3 nand systems. But everyone has to remember that if you don't know what your doing ask for help before you write to anything on that nor/nand chip.
Once you write to it and if you are doing it with a bad read, there isn't a way to get that system back. If you dont have a good dump and you write it to the system, that system is a brick and is used for nothing but parts.
