PS3 cfw version help?

Hello
I just bought a used ps3 slim cech-2504A cfw 4.78, the question is how do i know wich cfw i have, i´ve checked on sen enabler and it only says "firmware/spoof:4.78 (normal), on multiman says 4.78 bd-rom emulator.

I want to upgrade my hdd and i need to know if i use rebug , rogero etc..
Can someone help?

Quite simple, DL cfw you wish to install (personally recommend rebug 4.80.1) , reinstall cfw , replace HDD , reinstall same CFW

Thanks for you answer, so i can install rebug over my current unknown cfw without any problems?

I'm not sure if it will display anything different, but another app to try is MinVerChk to show your current FW version.

That said, I haven't heard of any real disaster reports when upgrading from another CFW to Rebug 4.80.1 but definitely check out their full page before proceeding to be safe.
