PS3 HDD corrupted and CFW installed on it help

please help ...i got my hdd corrupted and cfw installed on it ...it is 320 gb

my model no is 2508B ....i do not know which cfw is installed...

Now the system said please install sw4.81 or later please i need guide or steps .....

Please suggest which cfw now i can installed......

i need to downgrade or just copy and paste cfw on usb and reinstall i do not want to brick my console and i love it

I moved this to a new thread... it doesn't throw any error code, just nags to install OFW 4.81?

yes just say install software but not it means ofw ....

For PS3 CFW I'd recommend the latest Rebug 4.82.2 REX / D-REX with Cobra 7.55, but if it won't let you install Custom Firmware hopefully someone can lend a hand on how to fix it.

If it had custom firmware installed on it before the hdd corrupted. Install the latest one if you don't know which one it had on it. After you get backup and running if you don't like it you can always downgrade back to 3.55 and pick a different one.
