PS4 ELF Loading via TaiHEN Patches, PlayStation 4 Game Backups Hint!

Following the BIG PlayStation 4 Beta 4.50 news earlier, today @zecoxao shared a heads-up on Twitter that Zer0xFF noticed some handy TaiHEN Patches (specifically the first three, he tweets) that will aid developers in loading ELFs on the PS4 1.76... which he hints can also lead to running PS4 game backups!!!

To recap, the popular HENkaku PS Vita exploit was ported to PS4 HENkaku, as PS Vita CFW Framework TaiHEN paved the way for Adrenaline PSPemu CFW while developer Yifan Lu suggested a TaiHEN PS4 port providing the necessary functions could be found in the PS4 kernel developer dumps through the Dlclose Exploit.

Enter PS4 ELF Loader Tools, a PS4 Kernel ELF, PS4 ELF Hooking and a useful PS4 ELF Archive up to and including 3.55 for PlayStation 4 developers using the 1.76 Playground / 3.55 Playground and recently open-sourced PS4Ninja.

Things are just beginning to heat up in the PlayStation 4 scene with PS4 Savegames and Trophies already working for developers, so to $ony all we'll say is CASH ME OUTSIDE HOWBOW DAH remixed from the original Sliiim Thugga (who already has millions of followers on Instagram, merchandise and could be the next reality TV star)!

Welp, anything on 1.76 is nice. especially due the *rarity* of research put into it. So anything we hear from it is just a sign ps4 scene ain't that dead.

What do you want to do on higher firmwares? Sure linux is nice but I'll bet you'll complain for your homebrew after a day or two. We don't even have a proper *** yet.

if it's 1.76/3.55 there is a chance that it will work also with 4.05 failoverlows's hack or not?

lets hope they will not rush with releasing before 4.50 beta FW is fully investigated by devs

I not like old crappy and expensive crap , we know about the huge progress on higher firmwares , so such messages like this , are like a slap in the face.

I don't agree, some people actually want to help with PS4 research, but can't because of lack of income to not afford a 1.76 console (especially for student's like me)

You can already help by looking into webkit. (Open-source duh) you're not much of a help if you need to be held by your hand to get into kernelmode.

4.x to 4.05 are already known to contain vulns. going off of that. look into those webkit versions.
