PS4-RE-TEX: PS4 RE Engine Texture Creator for Game Mods by Backporter

Since his TW3 PS4 Texture Patcher Tool and RE-PAK Tool to preview textures and create / extract PAKs, PlayStation 4 Scene modder @Backporter (Twitter) recently shared some updates to Github on TGA-PNG-JPG-TO-DDS alongside a work-in-progress PS4 RE Engine Texture Creator dubbed PS4-RE-TEX that supports Resident Evil / RE3 textures and Devil May Cry 5 (DMC5 .tex.11) textures for game mods.

PS4 RE texture creator.

Requirements:

• orbis-image2gnf.exe
• libSceTextureTool.dll
• libSceGpuAddress.dll
• libSceGnm.dll

Usage:

Put all the requirements in the Data Folder, extract the mod with the textures, run app, wait for it to close, and you are done. if you want mipmapping boot the app with -mm for mip-mapping to be enabled;

Notes:

• For Optimal Performance, use the mipmaping option (I've included batch files that enable the mipmaping automatically just load them).

TO DO:

• Add proper Mip support (hopfully this will be in version 2.0) Done - Should be correctly working as of now. BROKEN AGAIN.. DO NOT USE.

@LeMonde21 Excuse my ignorance, but should I unlock a model in the game in order to activate the mod? I already did my mod package, but nothing changes. Thanks!

@oneohthree well it depends on the mod you installed , mine was changing the base costume of Jill , maybe yours is changing another one ?

I've uploaded a video explain on how to use this tools to mod the game. Its got no audio, so don't expect any, should work for all RE-Engine games, I've also been asked by one person about my batch commands to automatically build the game and install it to my PS4, I will NOT be sharing those, so do not ask.

@LeMonde21 pls share you mods as fpkg ,.,. lets make a thread where we all make modded fpkg ,.,. yesterday i try 15 mods which i get success in 8 mods working properly
like Elli as jill .,., nemesis as Kratos,., carlos as rambo etc

Looks like we'll have to wait for Modded Warfare to make a video tutorial so we can see clearly like skyrim and fallout4 on ps4

considering MW didn't update his skyrim/fallout videos with the proper modding method, I'd say its extremely unlikely he will cover any of this in any of his videos, through I guess one could hope lol.
