Still early days for these >11.00 firmwares so hopefully more and more people can get a shot at a working JB for their consoles!

I also think next-gen didn't exactly live up to the hype games-wise, and access to homebrew has given a new life to the PS4 which probably until GTA6 gives no reason to upgrade to PS5, especially for people who also own decent PCs.

Still rocking my PRO on 5.05. So happy to see backporting more alive than ever, hoping to start contributing soon :)

Whenever I see news like this, I'm afraid to turn on my ps4 and discover that it's been updated for who knows what reason.

I always wonder what power Sony has over its consoles, even with all the things to prevent it.

Am I the only one?

Thanks for sharing the latest news :)

I don't know about you guys, but I never keep my ps4 pro online. it's been on 9.00 for so many years.. and I intend to keep it this way :)

Just found a used PS4 console that was on 6.0, updated currently on 6.72 :p coz I don't want to be sorry in the future for updating.

Anyway, 9.0 and 11.0 are so appealing so I don't have to deal with downporting anymore.

I will probably update when no PC will be required to enable HEN.

Recently I've bought a used PS4 and I was very lucky it's firmware is 11.00. I haven't yet jailbroken it.

I would definitely not update it (not even connect it to internet).

I would really like it if Sony would just announce an end date for lower-risk security fixes, but then again, to Sony any bug/exploit that would allow for homebrew or CFW would be considered an 'urgent', or 'major' security flaw.

It'd be nice if some company, or startup would make an easily modifiable console, and if Sony really wanted the PS5 to succeed that's exactly what they should do.. or just announce an EOL for the PS4, either way, it would convince a large amount of people to get a PS5, that weren't going to, but what do I know.

Just picked up a pro from my brother that was sitting in a closet for 3 years, will be nice to put away the raspberry pi and use it for something else.
