PS4 System Software / Firmware 12.00 OFW Live, Don't Update!

Alongside the PS5 Firmware 10.00 Update, proceeding the previous revision Sony also pushed live PS4 System Software / Firmware 12.00 OFW with the PS4UPDATE.PUP updates and official changelog detailed below.

As always, DON'T UPDATE if you wish to use PS4 Fake PKG Games via PS4 Torrents and Homebrew Apps whenever a new PS4 Jailbreak Exploit arrives in the PlayStation 4 Scene.

I wonder if it will ever get to a point like the PS3 were JB is possible on any OFW. Having a JB option has made me utilize the PS3, Vita and PS4 again instead of collecting dust.

It’ll be nice when Sony finally stops updating the PS4, more people would probably be able to JB their console when that inevitably happens

That may be quite awhile, as $ony is still updating the PS3 Firmware (released in 2006) as recent as this year.

Yes, the last one was 4.91 just a few months ago and it could easily be that something is coming for the PS4 for a long time (years)

I wonder if the latest firmwares will be jailbreakable like PS3 someday, or even 11.50. I heard some people keep exploits to themself until the console is not updated regularly anymore so everybody can use them, I know a lot of people on 11.50 are waiting for something to come out

After having waited literally years for the PS4 jb, I just upgraded from my PS3 to the PS4 (11.00) and it seems JBs are becoming less effective... i.e. with PS3 we had CFW and we could play online not to mention with 11 if you crash and have to restart, you then have to re-run the exploit again with a PC.

the ps4 was a huge part of my early teen life it is amazing to see the progress that the people have brought to jailbreaking and unlocking the true potential of the console
