PS5 System Software / Firmware 24.05-09.60.00 Live, Don't Update!

Since the previous revision, today Sony pushed live PS5 System Software / Firmware 24.05-09.60.00.04-00.00.00.0.1 adding the ability to invite other players to game sessions by sharing a URL to the session among the 'stability improvements' of PS5 update 24.05-09.60.00 outlined in the v9.60 changelog below.

As always, DON'T UPDATE if you wish to use PS5 Game Backups and PlayStation 5 homebrew apps, emulators, etc whenever a full PS5 Jailbreak Exploit (PS5Jailbreak Status) in the PS5Scene becomes publicly available... or testing PS5 Game Backup File Dumps and PS4 FPKGs on PS5 with PS5 Hacked consoles using the PS5HEN 4.03 PS4 FPKG Enabler, PS5HEN 4.50 PS4 FPKG Enabler or PS5HEN 4.51 PS4 FPKG Enabler payloads or others using the PS5 Kstuff Porting Tool.

• You can invite other players to game sessions by sharing a URL to the session.
  • To invite other players, open the game session action card and select Share Link. Then, scan the QR code with your mobile device to share the link.
  • This feature is available only for open sessions that anyone can join.
  • This feature will gradually be rolled out to all players by July 24.
• Voice Command now supports the ability to open Game Help action cards by saying "Show Game Help".
  • Currently, Voice Command (Preview) is available only in English for players with accounts for PlayStation Network in the US and UK.
• We've improved system software performance and stability.
• We've updated the device software of some DualSense wireless controllers to improve stability.
• We've improved the messages and usability on some screens.

I propose to buy two PS5 consoles, one for daily use, playing on line, updating software on a regular basis.

The second to buy and hide intact in a safe place until it is possible to homebrew and all the wonderful things that come with it.

Unfortunately, life is not always so colorful to make this possible, but all our hope is in the hack scene

Has anyone bought PS5 recently (in some online shop, not one stashed on the shelf) and can confirm what firmware is it coming with?

Does it make sense to buy one today and stash it (with the intention to jailbreak it in the future), or maybe firmware installed is recent anyway (i.e. lower chance for jailbreak), and it is better to wait, and take chances with PS5 PRO?
