The PS5 Scene is just days away from kicking off with the Official PlayStation 5 Launch, PS5 Online Only Ordering and following the PS5 PKGs PlayStation developer @SKFU (Blog) passed along word on Twitter that he committed the obligatory PS5Tools repository to the PlayStation 5 Github Repos while inviting others to add to it. šŸ”„

Download: ps5tools-main.zip / GIT / PS5UPDATE.PUP (828 MB) / PS5UPDATE.PUP (960 MB - Recovery)

In the Tweets below he states the PS5 PUP Info Python Scripts for examining file structure data and extraction are "very bare skeleton for now, feel free to contribute" followed by "Basic CNT (PKG) support added" and this PlayStation 5 News comes proceeding his PS4 FW Tool, SKFU Pr0xy, PS4 Remote Play Guide, PS4 TitleIDs, PS4 Environment Analysis, PS4 I/O Vulnerability Analysis and an update on PlayStation 4 TitleIDs.

From the work-in-progress (WIP) README.md: PS5 Tools

Usage:
Code:
main.py [-h] [-e] [-v] file
positional arguments:
Code:
file PS5 Input File
optional arguments:
Code:
-h, --help show this help message and exit
-e Extract given file if possible

Finally, the PS4 Github Repos have also been updated recently with a DS4ID JavaCard-based emulator of a PS4 licensed controller security chip (IllegalSecurityChip.cap) by dogtopus labeled an IllegalSecurityChip... based on the strict warnings included, it sounds like something $ony may frown upon. šŸ™ƒ

i used this to extract a "2.00_PS5UPDATE.PUP". it created directory "PS5UPDATE.PUP_extracted" with two files inside, named "PS5UPDATE1.PUP" and "PS5UPDATE2.PUP". i'm assuming these are encrypted? if so, is there method of decrypting this yet?
