By GTAWWEKID on Mar 4, 2016: #1 Even before the release of the PS4, Sony (SCEI) knew that people would attempt to create modified software for the PS4. And they understand that some users would also like to get new features faster, so they decided to create these BETA Updates to fish out users. The point is, in these Beta firmwares, they are intended for a small group of users, and if you are not in the whitelist as a user who should be on BETA firmware, you are being put on a blacklist for a future ban from PlayStation Network. This is sadly not a rumor, and the bloody cold truth. --- GTAWWEKID, ignore the following: ***I am not being paid by Sony Computer Entertainment Inc or any third-party for this article. **This is not a scare tactic to enforce SCEI Policies/Terms of Service. *I am not writing this post to ruin any future business SCEI may encounter in the future.
