Today m0rph3us1987 will speak at the 35th Chaos Communication Congress (35C3) (Live Stream - Relive) to publicly disclose how to exploit PS4 video applications to run unsigned code on ALL Firmware versions while the PlayStation 4 scene awaits further word on the rumored PS4 Top Secret Method for Games that requires PSN according to @zecoxao on Twitter. :notworthy:

In the meantime, following the multi-platform RetroArch 1.7.5 release, PlayStation Classic Boot Menu + RetroArch Christmas 2018 Public BETA and Orbital PS4 Emulator progress recent Github commits indicate preliminary development is also underway by frangarcj (Twitter) for RetroArch PS4 (Orbis) support! :love:

For those unaware, here's a bit more on RetroArch (Twitter) from the official site at RetroArch.com to quote: "RetroArch is a frontend for emulators, game engines and media players.

It enables you to run classic games on a wide range of computers and consoles through its slick graphical interface. Settings are also unified so configuration is done once and for all.

RetroArch has advanced features like shaders, netplay, rewinding, next-frame response times, and more!"

@mpower25 it works VERY well on the Switch which is a lot newer hardware than the ps3 was. Switch struggles with performance on N64 and PS1 emulation.

This is fantastic news remembering back when people famed original XBox with its CoinOps emulation system as the all in 1 system.

The development I think most people in emulation community would look forward to is the development ports of Dolphin for its Gamecube possibilities. That coupled with PSclassics of PS1 and 2. This is the ultimate system.

Exciting times. Finally PS4 has a purpose other than a crappy Sony Portstation flooded with steam indie garbage.

Was reading libretro's twitter and they said Xbox One is receiving RetroArch as well. From what they said, anyone can toggle their system into developer mode and requires no exploit to run.

@Hacking4life I've been asking the same question about the PS3 version and not a single answer for 3 years ..so i don't think so, i have never seen anyone playing PS2 games using that thing on a console before.

they say (or more like pretend) that it supports PS2/Xbox/Wii just look for the "cores" but never not even once seen anyone playing games other than those PS1 and older games using it on PC. the rest is a lie i believe. it doesn't support any console form the 6th gen and up only 5th and 4th gen consoles.

@GamerX2 Thank you for replying!
Well, i think they have been working on ps2 emulation so i dont really know.
It would be epic but who knows?

PS: dude, emulating ps3 games is really hard. RPCS3 team has been working hard on it but it is gonna take a while
