With the PS5 5.02 Firmware Update earlier some reports surfaced that Sony's Official PlayStation Site (now 404'd) was also updated to include a PC Firmware Updater Page for the DualSense Wireless PS5 Controller, however, it has since been removed with a Cached Page remaining that currently displays an EULA for the upcoming Mac / Windows DualSense Firmware Updater application. 🎮

According to MP1st.com who also reported it, to quote: "Given how Sony pulled this, chances are, this is something that’s not ready to be announced or rolled out yet, though it is coming down the pipe.

While the DualSense will work even if it’s not updated, I wouldn’t be surprised if some games integrate the haptic feedback and other features of the DualSense that can’t be activated unless its firmware is updated."

I'm sure that they do allow you to update the controller firmware from the PS5, but for many of us, while the controller is a part of our daily lives, the PS5 itself is a mythical creature that after years of searching, some have concluded may not really exist.
