Update PS4 5.05 to 6.72 without Recovery Mode (broken power button)

Hi, I have a original fat PS4 on 5.05 using hen and I’d like to update to 6.72 or 7.02 to play later games because the back ports aren't always working for me.

The problem is my power button has snapped off the motherboard so I can’t hold it to get into recovery mode to update. Is there another way I can use to update?

5.05 is most stable JB.
All games have backport!!!

You should be able to update if you just use the normal Official Firmware update. You only need to use the recovery mode to update if you are needing to install the full Recovery Firmware update.

i use 6.72 extensively but if you don't use linux I am with
@vservis on this one stay 5.05

Thanks for all the replies. There’s a few games that I can’t get to work even after using auto backport but the main one I want to play is modern warfare

thanks!! its working, offline multiplayer is also working only problem is the campaign mode crashes after first mission, there is a PROPER release for the campaign dlc but whenever i use jdownloader and get a 403 geo error.

as you can probably tell im a NOOB with ps4 hacking.
