New to this and want to JB my PS4

Hey Guys im new to all this so im seeking some help please

i have been browsing the internet and have seen that with a downloaded file and an update process i can get free games on my ps4, is this correct ?

if so where can i get the file without all the rubbish that comes with it off dodgy sites.

No that is not correct, unfortunately.
If you are on 1.76 firmware then you can play backups now, if you are on between 176 and 4.05 then you should be able to very soon. Any higher than that then no idea when or even if it will happen.

Thanks for you reply, what are backups if you dont mind me asking, sorry its all new to me atm, i was given the ps4 off my nephew as he hasnt used it for about a year so im guessing its on low software at the moment, thanks gaz

You can download games (copy games onto hdd) then play them on your ps4 but you can't do that at the moment as you are probably on high fw.

The only firmware is 1.76

oh i see ok great thanks, ive just looked at system information and my software is 4.07

No worries you won't get anything for that I'm afraid maybe in future. Might as well buy a lower fw ps4 on 4.05 an exploit hopefully be out soon but you still won't be able to play higher games
