If I were you. I would leave PS4 alone. I am on 2.57 and I refuse to play newer game on it. Just playing with PS3/WiiU/3DS/Xbox one if you have one to keep busy and if it is only one you have. Its your decision to make.
I only have PS3 and PS4. I focus on PS3 and when I don't want to play anything. I just go out for exercise, hanging out with friends, on the internet and reading.
Yeah, I leave my PS4 alone. I won't regret it and its up to you and only you can decide for that.
