Backported PS4 Game FPKGs & Dumped PS5 Games for June 2025

It looks like the PS5 homebrew/jailbreak scene is heating up. Or maybe it's been hot the whole time and I'm just now paying attention again.

I had trouble getting some of the backported PS4 games to work about a year ago, so put it down for a while. But now it looks like fpkg merged with DLC might be the solution. I still have a bit of reading to do to catch up, but looking forward to finally dusting off my 4.50 PS5.

A lot of the games in this post look pretty good. I'm particularly interested in SF6, MK11, Tales of Symphonia and a few others. I've been a Street Fighter fan since SF2 on SNES and owned pretty much every version since then.

The game I mentioned earlier that I tried but couldn't get to work on my 4.50 was SF6. So hopefully, hopefully now I can get past the menus and in to the actual game.

I'm not as big on the Mortal Kombat series as I am on Street Fighter. But I've also played them since it first debuted in the arcades in the 1990s. I haven't played since maybe MK3, so I'm curious to check out what the current gen version is like.

I have the Tales of Arise for PS5. I do enjoy a good immersive RPG. I'm not really sure how much I'll be able to get into Symphonia right away though, but hope to check it out soon.

I'm currently busy with PalWorld on PC. But I do want to start getting my PS5 ready. Seems like there's a chance that PS5 fpkg's might be possible soon. Glad to see that the PS4/5 community is alive and well. Should be a good gaming summer!

My backlog is only getting bigger with all these new games. The Elden Ring Nightreign backport is up next for me.

I'm such a huge souls fan and was waiting for this one, I've been playing some other souls-likes to fill in the gap and finally here comes more of that From Software goodness. Can't wait to play, I'm going in Solo so hopefully it's still doable lol.

I bought my PS5 around 2022 and it's still on 3.21 and I still haven't really touched it much because aside from most games not working until recently, these ps4 backports are still going so strong and it's good to see the ps4 scene is still so active.

I am really happy to see GTA San Andreas in this list. Have been great times playing that on my PS2 with friends. Next to Red Dead Redemption 2 this is quite a good game to shorten the time until GTA6 will be released. I definitely need to go through the other lists to check for more games to play for the next year. Any recommendations, just let me know.

So glad that i kept my day-one PS4 over the last years in my closet without selling or updating it. Now I can easily do the jailbreak, just with an ESP32. Just opened it and changed the HDD for an SSD, that i had laying around, but I still need to see if this gives an advantage in loading times.

Just got my PS4 done and ready to start my journey down this reading path and adventure into gaming again. I have watched a number of videos and this should be drag me back into gaming on my PS4 it has collected dust for a number of years

So I've never actually opened my 5.50 PS5, and I have an old ps4 I haven't used since 9.0. I'm keen to get back into the PS4 gaming scene.

Is there much performance difference playing PS4 games on the PS5? Or should I stick with the PS4 for now? I'm really just wanting to finally give GoW Ragnarok a go.

Its been almost 6 years now that i joined psxhax, it was really useful back then for me when i had a jailbroken ps4 pro, miss those days.

Now im looking to get some low firmware ps5 and get back to the scene to see whats happening, things are going fast so its complicated to catch-up after so many years without taking a look at the PS scene.

Hope that one day we get a full cfw like we had on that old ps3, that was gold, could change from cex to dex and mess with a lot of stuff.

Just realized that GTA SA definitive got backported, cant wait to try that, remember me of when i was a kid playing it on ps2 with the cheat codes written on a piece of paper because i didnt had access to internet

, i was going to what we called the cybercafé to just snag the codes and go home try them,

And what about that GTA Resident evil mod ? Never heard about such a thing , we can play Leon Johnson ?

Awesome! Usually looking for PS5 stuff but you guys make it really hard not to buy a PS4 Pro 11.00 in addition.

Owning a pro 11.00 nowadays is like living in prosperity. Thats because of you guys.

With the Final Fantasy remake and Elden Ring updates coming through, I’m finally dipping my toe into the PS5 scene with what seems like a lot of new activity over the last several weeks. I’ve had my PS5 v4.00 sitting the box this whole time.

The original FF7 was my first introduction to the series so looking forward to the new mechanics and refresh with this month’s updates. Elden Ring on the other hand slipped past me (for now) but really its one the generations best games!!

Also a quick FYI for anyone interested - I read today that the private hypervisor exploit on 4.00 may 'soon' be released to the public! Great news for those on earlier firmware's

I am running 9.60 ps4 with goldhen and using ps4 remote installer on linux laptop to transfer pkg files and setup. Am learning as i go along and this fourm looks like a great place to learn and increase knowledge. Look forward to chatting with other members.
