Happy revenge of the 5th! Absolutely Stellar job on all the work everyone has done here. The biggest surprise to me is that South Park Snow Day is still getting content.

Wish we could have another RPG or something single player that isn't trying to be a trend chasing live service multiplayer game (And what Snow Day failed at).

Aged Gamer (Me) review of the Star Trail remake:

While the original 1994 version of Realms of Arkania: Star Trail is legendary in the 'hardcore' RPG genre, this 2013 remake is a little hard to recommend for enthusiasts or even casual players.

1. The remake has game-breaking bugs, significant performance issues, and lots of physics glitches.

2. Usually you want greatly improved visuals in a remake, which it technically delivers, but I think the 2D art was just better done. The 3D version looks cheap in comparison.

3. Old-school slowness and pacing. Combat animations are pretty bad, and navigation is actually more frustrating than the grid-based system of the original.

4. No manual, and this was one of the main advantages of old-school games. Plus, in general a manual was a necessity.

5. I was never even a fan of the original to be honest, it was obtusively hard just to make the game more challenging. It was more of a chore to play than a fun experience. The new version does not help that in any significant ways.

Overall, there really isn't a compelling reason for me to recommend this game to older players like myself, even if you were somehow a fan of the original. Either play the original, or play one of the hundreds of better RPGs that came out before and since. Life's too short (and getting shorter!) to play bad games.

I am not very fond of older games as graphics matter to my enjoyment but I would like to try the older Tomb Raider games, how does it hold up (not according to current standards but as a classic game in general) and is it worth the time?

Man, Tomb Raider I to III Remastered is exactly what a remaster should be. They didnt try to reinvent anything or turn it into some modern reboot, its literally the same old‑school Tomb Raider just with the pixels cleaned up so your eyes dont bleed anymore

This May is off to a great start! It's been a long time since I played a Dragon Ball game, and I'm feeling nostalgic for the Budokai games I played 30 years ago with my best friends.

And I hope South Park: Snowball makes me laugh as much as Stick of Truth did a few years ago. Time to dust off the PS5!

I agree, the tomb raider games have been solid for a long time, and have come a long way - including the recent remastered versions with new lighting. I believe some have ray tracing now?

I actually love the look of the old retro versions, but simply adding new real-time lighting without altering the game too much looks amazing!

YES! Backports are where it's at. I love to see old games 'restored'. Honestly it amazes me that games in the 90s were able to be so complex with so much less to work with.

I never played the 2005 Raiden III, but I couldn't stop playing Raiden Trad 1992. I am excited to give Raiden III x MIKADO MANIAX a try, and maybe my spoiled kids will finally appreciate something I enjoyed for so long.
