There are a lot of interesting titles in there, especially the Resident Evil games and the STALKER series. The STALKER games are especially incredible because of their atmosphere and world design, and Resident Evil 4 Remake is honestly an absolutely gorgeous remake.

I still remember playing the very first PC port back then, and it was horrible compared to the PS2 version. You basically had to memorize which keyboard key belonged to each quick time event number because the game only showed numbers on screen

Crimson Desert also is an absolutely badass game with its huge world, tons of things to do, and beautiful graphics. It’s honestly insane what the developers managed to achieve there.

Pragmata is also very high on my to-do list. Man... there are just way too many amazing games coming out these days and not nearly enough time to play all of them

I have so many great memories of playing the original Painkiller with my brother back in the day. That game was awesome, I remember the waves of enemies and having to ask my brother to teach me how to do some crowd control.

I was really looking forward to playing the reboot, but i don't think coop was the way to go with this game, it used to be a great single player experience. I'll still give it a try just for nostalgia sake, since I'm pretty sure it will make me wants to start the original once again.

I think Reanimal was very clever to maintain a horror genre in co-op mode, in a lot of co-op games you can goof around but the forced, direct camera creates a huge sense of claustrophobia.

It forces the players to stay within the same nightmare, the way it was meant to be played even if you want to goof around. Very clever by the developers!

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 was one of the games that defined my PS2 years, so seeing a full PS5 remake of both THPS3 and THPS4 is easily one of the most exciting releases in this update for me. What made those games special was not only the skating mechanics but also the soundtrack, hidden areas, and the amount of time spent trying to chain massive combos without wiping out at the last second.

I’m curious to see how the remake handles THPS4 since the original had larger maps and a more open structure compared to the earlier games. If they manage to preserve the fast arcade feel while modernizing the visuals and online features, this could end up being one of the best nostalgia releases on PS5.

Also, respect to everyone involved in preserving and backporting these titles. It’s impressive seeing both classic-inspired games and modern AAA releases appearing in the same monthly scene roundup!!

Heck yeah! I am so excited to play Pragmata. Capcom has been one of my favorite developers since my early gaming days and they haven't disappointed yet. I loved the demo.

Super excited about finally getting to play Pragmata though. I have a few friends who played it and (as a collective) swears up and down that its 10x easier doing the hacking with a mouse and keyboard vs the controller. Anybody else here have a similar viewpoint on it?

The amount of work and effort that goes into this scene is amazing. I do question how things will evolve though in terms of sustaining backports. But that's a worry for another time.
