Is it safe to update my PS4?

Hello guys...

I have been awile away from ps4 scene. So I want to ask you , Is it safe to upgrade my ps4 to the latest version and still jailbreakable if we have one ?

It's really up to you based on what you use your PS4 for and how often you use it.

If your goal is to run Linux on it and it's not on 1.76 OFW then you're waiting like many for someone like qwertyoruiopz to share a kernel exploit, or if your goal is to run PS4 game backups on it you may be keeping an eye on the Brazilian PS4 4.50 GameSharing rumors or the Russian videos (Part 1 and Part 2) who claim to know how it's being done.

I'm in no hurry to update as I don't use mine at all (it's in the closet collecting dust unopened), but for avid gamers waiting may not be an option since they actually use it as a gaming console to play with their friends
