Possible to jailbreak a 4.05 PSN banned console?

Mate of mine has a PS4 that's on 4.05 but he's banned from PSN. I want to buy it to jailbreak but only if the jailbreak is possible ofcourse.

You don't need a PSN account or be connected to PSN to jailbreak a 4.05 PS4, as long as it's definitely on 4.05 that would be my biggest concern.

Thanks for the quick reply. Is there any way that the 4.05 can be fake or an alternate version of 4.05 that can't be jailbroken or anything that I should look out for?

Not that I'm aware of, if you can have the seller turn it on and check the screen yourself to be certain.

no problems at all One of my 4.05 consoles was psn banned and it works a treat
