I am always impressed by the quality of the PS4 releases, not being a native English speaker I often play them in French, which is required for my kids. I have a PS5 in its box with FW at 8.20 and the latest development in the scene are quite exciting (thanks Gezine).

I am looking forward to comparing The Last of Us Part II on PS4 and PS5! Still haven't tested the PS5 JB, I hope things will get less complicated with future developments (just like the FPKG route on PS4).

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone. I’m not very experienced in this area, so I ask for your understanding. My question is the following: can any PS5 game be backported, or are there limitations?

I see that some games don’t differ much compared to the PS4, and it doesn’t seem to be just a matter of processing power. It feels more like a strategy by Sony to migrate users from the PS4 to the PS5, and in the future to the PS6 when it is released.

I was waiting for FNAF HW 2 and THANK GOD IT'S NOW HERE! I’ve been dying to play the new Sister Location mini-games specifically. I loved the repair sections in the first one, so I’m really hoping the new makeup and food prep stations have that same level of tension. Can’t wait to get absolutely terrified by Ballora.

If you're in Canada, some Staples still have old stock of PS5s, my date code was 4A (October 2024) and I still got 9.6, though it could have been 10.20 which was released on October 23 same year. You only need sku #3081630, the updated SKU is for much newer consoles.

Love to see Harry Potter in there, when I tried emulating, it always crashed when folio bruti appeared XD Chamber of secrets remains elusive, but I can see it also causes trouble on PS3, what is in there that makes it misbehave? Some great games, I am still kind of surprised we didn't get balatro yet, hoping for a Christmas gift of a fpkg release.

Happy to see so many Atelier games on this list with backports and DLC (though I haven't played one in years). I'd be very excited to play Freedom Wars again after so many years though, especially on a larger screen for a change.

I really enjoyed the music in the original Blue Reflection, but does the gameplay and music of Second Light hold up? The battle theme with the piano and violin come to mind as one of my favorites, not sure of the name but I'd look it up if you want to listen to something a bit different.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Years to everyone, I'm hopeful that I'll the opportunity to play more games again soon, this year has been incredibly busy and stressful, hopefully 2026 is great!

PS. If anyone wants a game recommendation Star Wars Episode I Jedi Power Battles was a game that I grew up with and played with my dad, so if you haven't tried it definitely check it out. Just bear in mind that the game was originally released on the original PlayStation so go into playing with the expectation of a PS1 Hack 'n Slash w/ level select in mind, and be prepared to accidentally jump in a lot of pits.
