This really feels like a proper end-of-year wrap-up for the PS4 and PS5 scene. Seeing how many backports and dumps are still being released daily, even during the holidays, shows how much dedication is behind this site and the people contributing to it.

I also appreciate that it’s not just the big titles getting attention, but plenty of remasters, smaller games, and older classics as well.

The House of the Dead 2 has always been a personal favorite whether in the arcade or on the dreamcast or xbox ect. never played on the PS4 though

Definitely give The Last of Us Part II a chance. The jump up in quality for both gameplay and graphics is amazing. Even fans of the first can't deny the 2nd one is a much better playtime.

Story-wise, I also enjoyed it on par with the original. 2 definitely follows the 'prequel & sequel' structure similar to Godfather 2, and as I love both those movies (ignore the 3rd Godfather movie) I love Ellie's journey so far. Eagerly waiting The Last of Us Part III.

The Last of Us Part 2 is one of the best games I've ever played. I even got the platinum trophy because it's so good. Many people criticize it, but it's a work of art.

If you can, give it a chance; don't get discouraged during Abby's part. The game gets better with each part you progress through.

Very happy with the Like a Dragon updates. I'm still a bit far from the newest releases (almost finished with Yakuza 5 right now, then 0, 6 and only then to the ichiban games), but it makes me very happy and relieved to still have them released for the PS4.

These release notes reminded me of some games on my bucket list, like Terminator 2D and Goat Sim 3. I might give a try to Powerwash Sim on the PS4 since I played a bit ofmthe Switch version but found it a bit dull and poor graphics. Since the Switch version doesn't even use move controls the PS4 should be better overall.

I saw a PS2 to PS4 conversion on here, has anyone tried running an accuracy test? I'm curious to see how Sony's own emulator holds up against real hardware.

Unrelated, but I'd recommend Epic Mickey Rebrushed to anyone who loves platformers, and niche old Disney. The controls got a major overhaul from the Wii version, and the horrendous camera system got replaced with an actual functioning camera.

I had the collectors edition as a kid, and I lost the art book somewhere, but there's some super sick animatronic designs in there if anyone's interested in that. The story's not perfect, and some of the platforming will kill you if your depth perception is jank, but it's a good way to find out about Disney's older lore that people don't focus on.

Personally, the game awoke my love for companies history and the things they tried to hide. Like, Oswald isn't some super niche superfan thing anymore, Disney's actually making merch of him in 202X! Making merch for a character that was effectively dormant for 40-ish years (1970's-2010's), and now remaking his biggest role a decade later.

Huge shoutout to the whole team - this drop is stacked. Seeing BLEACH Rebirth of Souls and the Like a Dragon updates fully backported before the holidays is honestly the highlight for me.
