PS4 Game FPKG Updates and Backported PS5 Game Dumps for June 2026

Wow, it'll be a decade next month since my last trip down memory lane posted back in 2016... but long before that I had some of the best (and worst) times playing The Oregon Trail on Apple IIe (1983, 8-bit) followed by Apple IIgs (1986, 16-bit) ...and now seeing it rebooted for those in the PS4Scene and PS5Scene to experience all over again among the PS4 Game FPKG Updates and Backported PS5 Game Dumps reminds me it's nearly time for me to 'ride off into the sunset' while passing the reins here to someone else.

If this project (psxhax.com) is something you'd be interested in investing time and money into, I can be reached via the Contact Us page for further discussion (keep this thread on topic of the game releases only), and while I may not respond to all offers know that I definitely appreciate them. I don't have a comfortable PC setup, but I do have a hacked PS4. Is Kerbel Space Program on the PS4 an authentic experience, if I'm playing it for the history and original experience?

I wasn't expecting to see The Oregon Trail in this update of all things. Reading the intro brought back memories of playing old educational games at school, so it was funny seeing it show up alongside stuff like FF7 Rebirth and Death Stranding 2.

The one that caught my attention the most is Gran Turismo 7. I've been holding off on it for a long time because of all the discussion around the online requirements when it launched. Curious to hear from anyone who's played it recently and whether the single-player progression feels better now.

Also nice to see more Saturn translations getting released. A lot of those games were completely off my radar growing up, so it's cool seeing people put in the effort to make them more accessible years later.

June is looking pretty stacked already and we're only a few days into the month. Thanks to everyone involved in the dumps, backports and translation projects.

Metro Exodus and the series is definitely on my list to get into this year. I never had the chance to get into them until now. Seeing that there is another one coming soon is great news.

Amazing to see Spider-Man 2 listed. Been playing Spider-Man games since discovering a demo back when you only needed a couple of fingers to count PS consoles! And those movie tie-ins, perfect!
