Hey guys..

I recently updated to 4.50 without knowing about this whole situation. So now am I basically screwed or I'd there a way to restore it?

Thanks!

Ironically Sony lets you roll back the PS4 Beta 4.50 by going to System Update in Settings to reload your existing Firmware there, but on PS4 4.50 Final (OFW) it's not possible at the moment.

:alert: Warning: If you're on a jailbroken PS4 console don't update to the BETA as @DEFAULTDNB confirmed the following via Twitter, to quote:

"You can only downgrade to the current highest released OFW (in this case 6.20) regardless of what firmware you updated from. It's hard coded now."

Wow @misiozol beat me to it, congrats! :D

Pretty much wait for a new release, discovery in the PS4 scene or unload your PS4 and sell / trade it for another on lower Firmware.

Of course you'd need a compelling reason to do it... and until game backups, linux and homebrew are feasible on a PS4 over 1.76 publicly you might want to just wait it out while using it.
