Ubisoft's The Crew 2 and Blazing Shots PS4 Update Free This Weekend
Today Ubisoft announced that players can drive, soar or speedboat into the open-world recreation of the US in The Crew 2 this weekend including the free Blazing Shots PS4 update for PlayStation 4 gamers from December 5th to the 9th. 
Below are all the deets courtesy of Ubisoft Editor Mikel Reparaz, to quote via Sony's PlayStation Blog:
In The Crew 2’s open-world re-creation of the U.S., every street is a racetrack, every river is a playground for speedboats, and every city skyline is a giant aerobatics course.
PS4 players can jump in for free this weekend, from December 5 until December 8, and use The Crew 2’s cars, planes, and watercraft to explore and compete across every inch of its gigantic scale model of the country.
And if you want to keep tearing up The Crew 2’s roads after the free weekend is over, you can grab the Deluxe Edition of the game for up to 70% off at PlayStation Store from now through December 12.
The free weekend is also a chance to check out the content added in the recent Blazing Shots update, including new rides, new vanity items (including all-new underglow effects), and new weekly LIVE Summits, special nine-event PvE challenges that invite players to test their mettle and carve out a place on the leaderboards.
Blazing Shots is the fourth major free update to come to The Crew 2, following Gator Rush, which introduced hovercrafts; Demolition Derby, which added its namesake event and destructible cars; and Hot Shots, which first introduced the LIVE Summits.

Stardust Odyssey Blasts Off Today on PlayStation VR, Gameplay Video
Last month we previewed the upcoming PS VR Game Releases for the holiday season through early 2020, and today PSVR fans can navigate the high-flying sci-fi fantasy world in the new VR adventure Stardust Odyssey from Agharta Studio with a PS VR gameplay video below! 
Here are further details from Game Designer Dorian Collet on creating the PlayStation VR controls of Stardust Odyssey, to quote:
Creating the Controls
As VR players ourselves, we wanted a game that delivered (what we consider) all the essential features of a VR game: accessibility, comfort, ergonomics, simplicity and intuitiveness. We didn’t want to produce “just another brief experience.”
When you wear a VR headset, you cannot look at your hands and the control buttons, because this breaks the immersive experience. That is why we decided to play the game with the PS Move motion controllers and just the T button: you can instantly start playing without having to think about the mapping of the actions. All the actions are based on simply aiming, pressing, holding and releasing the T button.
In Stardust Odyssey, you play with “magical hooks” that you can use to aim at and grab all the interactive elements from a distance: the rudder to steer your Ethercraft, your spells, the cargoes, etc. Since you can play using your two hands, you can plunder cargo while steering at the same time.
Steering Your Ship is a Piece of Cake
When you grab the rudder ball by holding the T button, a blue disc appears in front of you, which you can use to direct your ship. Aiming inside the disc makes the Ethercraft strafe horizontally and vertically. To do this, you can either tilt your wrist or move your whole arm. To move forward, you just have to slightly push the rudder ball forward and to move backward you simply bring the rudder ball closer to your body. Blue marks on the side indicate how fast you are travelling.
You can switch hands on the controls at any time and choose to use your left or right hand according to your preferences. You will quickly learn how to understand the steering HUDs and intuitively feel how the Ethercraft responds to the range of movements of your arm. After...
