Today I show you my video with restoring and working Call of Duty game backup on PS3 OFW 4.81.

Method soon.. do you want? That research was tiresome. Its possible guys, its possible. ;)

Update: Method time to run backups on OFW 4.81!
  • First thing - game must have official patch! (im working on it)
  • 2nd thing - Game cant be new.. games released before 2010 only will work due to LIC.dat.
Anyway I trying to bypass this, you must know, we can boot a original Game through BDDISC, make param.sfo of another game as patch to this BDDisc game. PS3 will try load game from GAMEDATA = another game. Im able to run Far Cry 2 with that crazy method.

There exist 2 methods to get work, and you must test 2 methods if 1 will fail.

EASY METHOD #1 (I got working Call of Duty with them)
  • Download patch for your game, unpack it with PKGView.
  • Copy and paste all content patch to your PS3_GAME (except PARAM.sfo!)
  • Open param.sfo patch and check appver with the PS3 PARAM.SFO Editor included in PS3Tools v4.8.1 by @aldostools from Aldostools.org
  • Open param.sfo your game and change Disc Game to HG and appver to patch ver.
  • Rename PS3_GAME folder to BLES00404GAME
  • Copy your game "BLES00404GAME" to TABR /game folder
  • Copy your patch folder "BLES00404" to TABR /game
  • Add these 2 folders to backup
  • Done
Method 2 READ CAREFULLY! (i got working Need for Speed with them)
  • Download patch for your game, unpack it with PKGView.
  • Open patch param.sfo and remember appver with the PS3 PARAM.SFO Editor included in PS3Tools v4.8.1 by @aldostools from Aldostools.org
  • Open your game param.sfo, edit Disc Game to HG and appver to patch version.
  • Copy game param.sfo to patch folder!
  • Rename patch folder to BLUS30347GAME
  • Cut this patch folder to TABR /game
  • Again unpack patch with PKGView
  • Copy to new patch folder your all PS3_GAME content (except PARAM.sfo)
  • Copy BLUS30347 folder to TABR /game
  • Add these 2 folders to backup
  • Done

nevermind old game or new game i want install any game please any one help me

That is correct, my understanding is on 4.81 OFW another PS3 with CFW is required... if you had an older OFW console (such as 4.70) then you could do it.

I don't follow the PS3 developments as close as PS4, so if anyone knows otherwise please let us know thanks!

I want anyway to install games on my ps3 OFW 4.81 without CFW nevermind old game or new game i want any game even if games 2006

@User 1 all games 2008 will work, 2009 not necessarily some have LIC.dat. Uncharted 1 im sure it will work. U2 its a 2009 fall game, so i dont know.

You can easily try that. LIC.dat is a only eboot thing. Download U2 patch, change param.sfo from GameData to HG game, if this U2 patch will boot with blackscreen so yes it should work, if not u re out of luck.
if that is so that simple for you , then try to make AC1 or any of 2008 ubisoft game to run , like prince of persia 2008 or pop the forgotten sands

really bro there's always some exception for some not any of 2010 and below games would work easily
