PS3 OFW 4.81 Backup Games Injection LICDIR Mods Listing and Guide

Yesterday we saw a brief guide covering PS3 Games with Older LIC.DAT Titles, and @ShadixAced shared a link HERE of a PlayStation 3 game compilation listing that can be injected with backups using PARAM.SFO license directory modifications with update patches running on OFW 4.75 through 4.81.

If you want to prepare the specified games for the console on the console, then see below: The method, how to make the game work, is pretty simple. The game should have an official patch (and how else will we launch it from the internal disk?).

The patch is being unpacked, the contents of USRDIR, except for EBOOT.BIN and updated files (if any) are taken from the disk version. PARAM.SFO (from the disk) is edited. Change the Category from DG to HG and App Version to the patch version.

Hi im noob in here. I have a question after all edat file cant restore from backup. Did someone tried using pkg as patch with file edat in directory?

Some case edat bypass from restore.

no it won't work , it will let you create files (big size file) to your console for nothing.

stars wars is contained in the download list i linked earlier , so just redownload and inject. Stranglehold isn't available for download in that list yet , but i can confirm its working on my 4.81 ofw super slim using the same instructions you shared above. So i suggest u check the instructions agains , check for splitted files and i recommend injecting using TABR in case u used anything else.

15. Star Wars The Force Unleashed - The Ultimate Sith Edition (BLUS30445) + Patch 2.00 (BLUS30144). So, unpack the patch, throw in it the edited PARAM.SFO from the disk (Category, App Version and BLUS30144), well the contents of the USRDIR folder, except eboot.bin, of course.

I downloaded the star wars from the link you shared but I don't understand the instructions well. What does it mean throw in the edited param.sfo from the disk? I will put the param.sfo from the disk folder to the patch folder? I don't understand what I am supposed to edit my category, app version, and blus30144? I will put the contents of the disk's usdir except the eboot.bin file?

16. Stranglehold (BLES00144 + NPEB90044 or NPHB00017). Demo (NPEB90044 or NPHB00017) unpack, edit for the beauty of PARAM.SFO. All the contents (except eboot.bin) of the USRDIR folder (in the demo) are deleted and, accordingly, to throw it from the disk version. But, there is a cant in the game. In the second mission, the helicopter does not lose missiles. You can go, but gemorno.

Plz guys test more and more ps3 games that can work on ps3 4.81 after this forum was made for that plz try to make demo games to full like rayman legends or try the method of afro samurai on different games maybe we will be able to play some games that we haven't played before

Hey the link i shared is to download games DIRECTLY so u don't need to do any of these instructions just hit download and inject into backup simple as that.

And about stranglehold its not available for direct download yet but i can assure you that it's working .. i would upload it so u guys can just download without having to deal with all the crap but i have like 0.80 mb upload speed so ..

But u can PM me if u want i can show you exactly what every folder of my stranglehold contains so u can find the error you made following the instructions
