Since the previous exploit documentation release and ongoing PS4 WebKit / Jailbreak updates, today PlayStation 4 developer @CelesteBlue has made available PS4Brew 4.74 via Twitter which is a PS4 Kernel Exploit and live demo for those stuck on PS4 4.74 Firmware who are unable to update their consoles due to a broken Blu-ray drive. :love:

I did webkit part (6 months ago) and kernel patches part. zecoxao did coding according to my patches, and tested on his 4.74 PS4."

@BwE I have a PS4 that I brought with a broken bluray drive and even after a chip swap it still will not work (I can't remember the exact error it gives its been on the shelf for a long time now). It accepts disc even displays the game name but when you go to launch the game it errors. It is like the drive is not married to the mainboard correctly anymore.

I am hoping this may help it become at least semi usable again.

@mawhatt
Yeah dude you got scammed. Game shows up but doesn't boot = divorced chip.

I think there's times when it will show unknown disc etc also...

This is great news to bring the consoles stuck behind up to speed. Very similar to PS3 releases.

Thank you CelesteBlue for your hard work and dedication to keep scene alive!

it would be cool if we can get a 5.03 exploit my PlayStation is trapped on this firmware due to a broken Blu-ray Drive does anyone know how to get past this :)
