PSDLCIndex: PlayStation Store PS4 DLC Indexer by GarnetSunset

Earlier this month we saw a PS4Updates Python script, and recently PlayStation 4 developer @OctopusRift aka GarnetSunset (Twitter) made available a PlayStation Store DLC Index script tool called psDLCIndex which can be used to scrape / download PS4 PKG downloadable content.

From Al Azif, to quote: "THESE TOOLS WILL NOT WORK WITH MOST DLC. The DLC must be an unlockable type with no extra data required and may require a specific game update version. There is no way to know 100% if it'll work until you try it."

PlayStation Store DLC Indexer, and list generator.

What is this?

This is a script that will go through a PlayStation store entry for a certain title, which is given at runtime, and get the titleIDS of all DLC associated with them. This can then be funnelled into "mysteriouslink.py" which can parse it out and, using some outside programs, generate some cool pkgs.

How to use?

Make sure you run "requirements.bat" if you're on windows, but then, just run the "dlcIndex.py" script and input the full title ID of the app you wish to crawl. This can take a while so be patient.

When done, make sure to run mysteriouslink, with all the files required, which I can't link, in this directory. You should have a bunch of PKGs.

Update: In related news, windsurfer1122 made available PSN_get_pkg_info which is a Python script to extract package information from header and PARAM.SFO of PS3 / PSX / PSP / PSV / PSM and PS4 packages.

Update #2: Developer lucasepe made available another scraping utility called Go PS4 which allows you to search your favorite PS4 games from PlayStation Store using the Command Line, which details below from the README.md to quote:

Yes After update to 1.12 you got 3 presents and two dlc

It's interested.... Without hen i Go to select theme, i must buy a theme, After hen, i can select What i will, change Theme, restart ps4 theme will Run.

Many times and test later.... It's funny to See, i can download original themes by psn stuff, Patch with psdlc pkg and it will run. I can Patch some dlcs And aktivated that is on original game.
Next step i downloaded driveclub from psn stuff via Sony Server, take the full game Patch in psdlc section and learned, that the game will not Run, the result of theory (i Patch a theme, i Patch dlc) that i can Patch a full game with this Method is not possible.

So spend time and bandwidth, you can not download a original pkg and Patch it with psdlc.
You only can Patch / Activating the theme and dlcs, more not atm.

@SoundPeople1985 you can patch the game but it gonna ask you for update the game to play it, and if you update the game it keep asking to update the game, that happens too with fpkg (ex. BO3 base game (no update) with dlc installed)

If the retail game says you need to update after you unlock it with the fpkg, this is likely because the param.sfo in the fpkg has its minimum required firmware changed. You can alter it to 4.55/5.05 and see if that works.

info, for all those who are searching for themes CUSA01501 (20th annyversary, rectangular/cube,...)
- CUSA01501 with V10 -> there is no result
- EP9000-CUSA01501_00-0000000000000002 with V2 -> you got the results and you can generate the license
