PSXHAX.COM Update on Clickbait / Fake News / Rumors Handling

Howdy all! Up until today the way news was reported here at PSXHAX.COM consisted of users posting what they want in the Forums or Shoutbox, and then the Staff would move their posts to the main page for everyone to read and discuss.

Since PSXHAX.COM opened 17 months ago that simple system contributed to over 800 articles with a handful of snafus along the way, most notably the @GTAWWEKID PS4 2.50 exploit deemed fake and @racer0018's PS4 4.50 Beta Linux claim that was never substantiated.

It has come to our attention a warning has been put on Se7enSins.com stating the following:

"Please be aware that posts containing psxhax as a source for tools, homebrew, news, and misc information will be removed as this site is known to spread fake information, exploit', and brickware."

This PSXHAX warning is no longer accurate as of today, so if anyone is a member there it would be great if you can link them to this article which reassures their members and Staff that we are proactively addressing their concerns, effective immediately.

PSXHAX.COM Action Guidelines as of March 15, 2017:

• We have removed the @GTAWWEKID and @racer0018 problem threads and will continue to do so should any new ones surface.

• Any reported news that can't be substantiated (Sony rumors, for example) will contain the word 'Rumor' in the article title to ensure the headline accurately and clearly indicates the article's content as such.

• Forum user-submitted news will NOT be mainpaged without reasonable proof as determined by the community including pictures, videos or code documentation to validate their claims or work.

• Everyone from the current Staff except myself has been removed for the time being, so that we can properly retrain all selected Moderators before giving them permission to promote news here.

Finally, if we've missed anything with regards to these new guidelines or if you feel an article here still contains Clickbait / Fake News / Rumors let us know via Email, the Comments, Private Messaging or Twitter and we'll either remove it from the site or label it accordingly as detailed above and THANKS in advance for your help!

no offence psxhax but since Racer did post few weeks ago and introduced Kane01 he still hasn't signed on and explained his situation and clarified this post is true.

I think its a good idea. Give racer the benefit of doubt until end of march so he has time to prove himself true or wrong and then permanently ban him along with any other aliases he has on here (kane1?)

HAX, if you wanna do it right you should start from the beginning, do an obligation to add every sensible/useful data to the users profile ; user name checked, country checked and SHOWED, any link in users profile checked, comments from new users checked, and MODS to check that all day long.

I didnt joke when i mentioned that older/reputated members should have a plus to post/comment on critical threads/topics.

Also, there is a misconcept about to be a moderator these days, boys think its a pass card to any kind of idiocy, disrespect, abuse and self-taught. But very few ideas about what it really means: work.

This and every site is made by people, Psxhax has its own identity and nobody here wants that change. Only a few adjusts could do this a fun and "strait" site, but you and me and others experienced ones know that some "well reputated" sites have had very bad times too, so i refuse to go to extremes to fit in a hypocrite standard.

This is not an gobernmental site or anything else, is a hax/gaming community, so, lets keep it that way and fun.

Ok nobody care, but this is a new direction from its creator/director, so... show your "support" supporting a few changes to do it a bit better.

I will do my absolute best to never let you all down again, and I truly hope @racer0018 will return and won't let us down either.

When he swore on his son's life that got to me... knowing his mom passed away recently, reminding me how important life is and that I'm blessed to still have my aging mom here, so this is my final plea to @racer0018 to make things right somehow.

Almost everyone here trusted in you including me, I put this entire site's reputation on the line and with not even a shred of evidence or proof in return so please if you have something SHOW IT and if you don't be man enough to ADMIT IT... that's all we ask.

Either way this will NEVER happen again as long as I'm here.
