GenGP4 (Replaces PKG Kitchen) by XVortex, PS4 FTP via Webpage

Today PlayStation 4 developer @XVortex kicked us out of the kitchen by announcing that his PKG Kitchen is no longer needed, and introduced his latest GP4 Generator all-in-one utility called GenGP4 which combined with the FTP server is everything you need to dump PlayStation 4 games including a more reliable tree-decrypting method alongside shorter instructions below!

To quote: "No more .pkg extraction, .pfs extraction, file merging etc. FTP server dumps the game to HDD folder, then gp4gen sanitizes this folder and generates the .gp4."

To quote from @XVortex's condensed guide on using GenGP4:

1) Turn on the console, insert disc (or run psn title), install all game patches;
2) Plug-in the USB stick, run the ps4-dumper payload (.bin or standalone);
3) Run your game, make sure to get main menu, minimize game (PS Button);
4) Wait till completion. When the process is finished the lights stop blinking
and console will shutdown automatically (it is normal, not a panic shutdown);
5) Turn on your console, remove disc, uninstall the game (for further testing);
6) On PC: Plug-in the USB Stick, then open gengp4.exe, point into CUSAxxxxx dir
and press Generate .GP4, You should get the 'Done.', then press Save .GP4;
7) Open .gp4 in the orbis-pub-gen and build .pkg file
(You can get the orbis-pub-gen tool via PKG_Fake_Generator);
8) Run PS4HEN payload, install and test your .pkg;
9) Enjoy.

i try gta v and i have two pkg 1 is app of 41gb and other is update of 12 gb (1.21)

Hello @XVortex, I wonder if may add a custom command to your ftp payload to execute unpkg method to decript files ina a temp foder of ps4 hdd and then download them.

Have you already tryied to realize this function?

Hello guys I have dumped successfull UNTIL DAWN with separate file for APP e UPDATE 1.03 but happen a thing strange..

Why if i repack fpkg with my laptop or secondary pc I have damaged app when game start and if I repack with my primary pc i7 , is work fine? same thing happened with GTA V
The version of programs are same, external HDD is same, change only pc mah!

Why retail disc installation are 50,6 gb on ps4 and now is 49,3 GB UNTIL DAWN (with 1,03) ? is normal?

I found what is issue of incorrect fpkg with others pc... Issue is HDD external 3.0 that not copy correct big files when is connected in 2.0! others my pc not have 3.0 usb and going into 2.0 not create correct files... instead my primary pc has 3.0 usb and is work fine (when connected to 3.0)

I checked MD5 when copy file with 3.0 connected and when 2.0 with same pc and results is:

So with the .split, we can just dump games without any game update, install the game pkg and install update pkg from other users? Maybe create a repository of game updates here?

I created a .split file (renamed with WINRAR as suggested by) @jhonny82 but it didn't work for me. What did work was in the ps4-dumper folder downloaded from @XVortex there's a dumper.cfg file that you can edit with Notepad.

It tells you to put the dumper.cfg on the root of your USB disk. I changed the split=0 to the other choices of 1, 2, or 3. That DID work. To answer your question, yes, you can dump just the game without updates using split=1. The will give you version 1.00 of the game, then you can install fake update PKG over it.

I dumped GTA V CUSA00419 into a fake game PKG and also the 1.21 update fake PKG. Deleted the install from my hard drive, installed the game PKG then the 1.21 update over it. Works fine!

So you should be able to install update PKG from other members as long as it's a fake PKG and not official.
