Today PlayStation 4 developer @XVortex kicked us out of the kitchen by announcing that his PKG Kitchen is no longer needed, and introduced his latest GP4 Generator all-in-one utility called GenGP4 which combined with the FTP server is everything you need to dump PlayStation 4 games including a more reliable tree-decrypting method alongside shorter instructions below! :D

Download: gengp4.exe / gengp4.zip (641 KB) / ps4-dumper.bin / GIT

To quote: "No more .pkg extraction, .pfs extraction, file merging etc. FTP server dumps the game to HDD folder, then gp4gen sanitizes this folder and generates the .gp4."

To quote from @XVortex's condensed guide on using GenGP4:

1) Turn on the console, insert disc (or run psn title), install all game patches;
2) Plug-in the USB stick, run the ps4-dumper payload (.bin or standalone);
3) Run your game, make sure to get main menu, minimize game (PS Button);
4) Wait till completion. When the process is finished the lights stop blinking
and console will shutdown automatically (it is normal, not a panic shutdown);
5) Turn on your console, remove disc, uninstall the game (for further testing);
6) On PC: Plug-in the USB Stick, then open gengp4.exe, point into CUSAxxxxx dir
and press Generate .GP4, You should get the 'Done.', then press Save .GP4;
7) Open .gp4 in the orbis-pub-gen and build .pkg file
(You can get the orbis-pub-gen tool via PKG_Fake_Generator);
8) Run PS4HEN payload, install and test your .pkg;
9) Enjoy.

Alright gents, ill upload EA UFC since this is working now its going up now ill make a post once its finished, not until then though because its misleading :p

Can anyone please confirm though, does this methodology work for PSN titles i have on my console already ? i keep seeing some elude to that Disc (or PSN) like that but i honestly have yet to see someone reporting that works.

Also, just proof UFC is uploading, so no one else wastes there time on the game.

** Update **

Im testing UFC now on my console cleaned the disc material. ill let you guys know.

Alright Tested and working, so the UFC when it goes up should be marked as TESTED. couple more hours :) mean while im going to try and dump some local installed titles incase its possible.

I seem to have the problem where the game dumps just the prx files and eboot etc whereas the main game files are at 0 bytes and the CUSAxxxxx.Complete file is there. The HDD light also stops blinking after that is created and nothing more updates.

Tried the 1.4, 1.4.1 and even the 1.4.2 payload all with same result. Just can't seem to dump this game with any tool out there. Game in question is CUSA05392 Digimon World Next Order.

dump is going on 2 hours, is this normal ? didnt see update to ftp and gengp4 until after i started the dump. is the ftp update imperative?
thanX in advance

i have a Inside PSN download dumping which is taking a VERY long time but i can see the files building on the usb you just have to keep checking some folders to see what file its grabbing its not just file by file inside each directory from the looks of it.

*Update*

Im going to have to redo this one with a 5TB drive to let the test run safely. because each of the asset files for Inside looks like its over 50 of them is 4.3GB so theres for sure not enough space based on that on the 128GB stick im using. even if its temp space. i have to assume this technique likely wont work, but cant wait to find out what happens :p

Now again, no one has confirmed to me that i should even be able to correctly dump a psn game on my ps4 hard disk already. Signs point to that being npdrm and probably not being cracked yet. Mainly since no one confirmed though and how PS3 worked. But if it works ill let you guys know. and im happy to upload the pkg to be tested. I dont really want to delete my game since obviously it works and i cannot install it again.

*Update*

I think i see why its taking so long now, its extracting the data from the .dat file which we did ourselves previously with archive explorer in windows. so its decrypting + extracting from an image, so this is quite a bit more work to be done just via ftp and payload.

I've decided to split FTP server and Dumper into different projects. So meet All-in-one game dumper for PS4 (GIT), Releases

Project will contain ps4-dumper payload (and standalone exploit) and gengp4. Dumper is fully automatic now. It automatically detects game execution, extracts its TITLE_ID, detect non-empty USB drive (you can use USB1 now) and even shutdown the console after successful dump. There are still possible minor bugs, but we will catch them with your help.

The final instruction for Dumper is:

1) Turn on the console, insert disc (or run psn title), install all game patches;
2) Plug-in the USB stick, run the ps4-dumper payload (.bin or standalone);
3) Run your game, make sure to get main menu, minimize game (PS Button);
4) Wait till completion. When the process is finished the lights stop blinking
and console will shutdown automatically (it is normal, not a panic shutdown);
5) Turn on your console, remove disc, uninstall the game (for further testing);
6) On PC: Plug-in the USB Stick, then open gengp4.exe, point into CUSAxxxxx dir
and press Generate .GP4, You should get the 'Done.', then press Save .GP4;
7) Open .gp4 in the orbis-pub-gen and build .pkg file
(You can get the orbis-pub-gen tool via PKG_Fake_Generator);
8) Run PS4HEN payload, install and test your .pkg;
9) Enjoy.

@PSXHAX please make necessary changes (GIT, urls, screenshot of gengp4 GUI) to OP.

I had the same problems with version 1.4.2. Dumping process never ends and my USB stick is completely filled up! I'll try these new tools tomorrow after someone confirms it works. Thank you very much for your efforts.

Is this method able to properly dump titles that tell you to connect to PSN? The 'free' Plus titles will have the license suspended until you log in again but still boot up until you hit the point that it asks you to connect.

I don't want to lose downloaded titles on my PS4 by deleting them to test the generated .pkg so I was hoping someone has tried and could shed some light on it.
