Today PlayStation 4 developer @XVortex kicked us out of the kitchen by announcing that his PKG Kitchen is no longer needed, and introduced his latest GP4 Generator all-in-one utility called GenGP4 which combined with the FTP server is everything you need to dump PlayStation 4 games including a more reliable tree-decrypting method alongside shorter instructions below! :D

Download: gengp4.exe / gengp4.zip (641 KB) / ps4-dumper.bin / GIT

To quote: "No more .pkg extraction, .pfs extraction, file merging etc. FTP server dumps the game to HDD folder, then gp4gen sanitizes this folder and generates the .gp4."

To quote from @XVortex's condensed guide on using GenGP4:

1) Turn on the console, insert disc (or run psn title), install all game patches;
2) Plug-in the USB stick, run the ps4-dumper payload (.bin or standalone);
3) Run your game, make sure to get main menu, minimize game (PS Button);
4) Wait till completion. When the process is finished the lights stop blinking
and console will shutdown automatically (it is normal, not a panic shutdown);
5) Turn on your console, remove disc, uninstall the game (for further testing);
6) On PC: Plug-in the USB Stick, then open gengp4.exe, point into CUSAxxxxx dir
and press Generate .GP4, You should get the 'Done.', then press Save .GP4;
7) Open .gp4 in the orbis-pub-gen and build .pkg file
(You can get the orbis-pub-gen tool via PKG_Fake_Generator);
8) Run PS4HEN payload, install and test your .pkg;
9) Enjoy.

@XVortex Still same problem with my game as before. Done it exactly step by step as you've explained, ps4 turned off, had the .complete file on my HDD and most of main game files are 0 bytes. The whole folder is roughly 70mb size whereas by manual dumping it had around 11GB (Same size as when checking game information).

Any suggestions? I actually tried to create a semi-manual dump of the game using libs dumped by your tool and from previous pkg kitchen attempts and got to a black screen this time not the E-80AA001 error I had before so I can say that's a progress of sorts! A big thanks anyhow for making those tools for us!

im dumping EA Sports UFC 2 psn download, to see the results. bare with me, im using a 5TB Exfat External now so i wont run out of space testing. Also, i will gladly upload the pkg to test so we can see the results etc.

Thanks for offering the game dump payload separately that was a very good idea. Ill test it for you momentarily once this finishes

Please dump your pfs_image.dat with some regular FTP and share somewhere. Ill try to debug it.

@XVortex just the pfs_image.dat? it'll be while before it's up but alright, thanks a huge lot for looking into it!

EDIT
Something went okay this time, after a week of trying to dump it, finally something worked, not too sure how and what but game works! Thanks anyhow!

XVortex is possible to dump in fake pkg only the update of one game? So dumps of games are not upload again but we add only update pkg (fake) to previously dumps.

You can create a guide for it? many thanks

XVortex, again thanks for the option to use this method instead, however.. without at least having FTP access.. how am i supposed to verify when its done if one doesn't have a blinking light on the hdd / flash drive, not all flash drives have that, now i happen to have one.. so probably fine.. but that honestly isnt the best way to verify, you might want to leave FTP access just so we can verify when its finished, i liked that feature.. just not sure how else you can monitor progress which could be a problem for some.

** Update **

I re-read your directions and the console shutting down is absolutely 1 way of knowing, but the monitoring process would be nice. especially on large titles.

first dump worked perfectly (far cry primal), second dump (homefront revolution) went on for a long time, I shut down and checked the hdd, it was over 200gb, no idea what happened?

Look at xvortex git, git co source, look include/defines.h, configure ip of machine enable debug. Compile payload-***.

Put socat/netcat listener tcp port in defines.h, debug sent to machine tcp socket, tail -f dump.txt in other session. Linux we make with socat TCP-LISTEN:9023,shut-none,fork ./dump.txt for listen. socat in window also, but we no have syntax.

Or, too complex, end user mode, wait, ps4 turn off. Good dump.

xvortex, thank you for extra steps removal, it make it extra nice to use for idiot like me.
