Since @XVortex created a java payload version of PS4HEN that doesn't require you to push it using a PC, thanks to his web/java version, I have searched for a way to get this working without a web server needed.

It comes to my mind that PS4 supports BD-J (for Java) for it's Blu-ray Live (BD-Live) and that it has persistent storage and ability to do virtual storage as well.

The process is simple:
  • create a menu for Blu-ray to call ps4-hen-vtx that will load payload.js and the rop.js
  • burn the Blu-ray disc (create an iso)
  • play back in PS4 and click on the menu to load the payload
I will be playing with this more this weekend, but meanwhile, if @XVortex or someone else wants to give a try, go ahead. That will be a perfect so the PS4 is independent of a web server.

member the first emu for vita? this will more then likely be based on that or close to it regardless what it's named. all good devs take a little of this a little of that and make it into a source so it's all over the place in segments

I'm no use if dvd will work with bd-j as it's all part of bluray technology and never tried it myself. it's possible with usb as long as it's a bootable I use programs like w7 toolkit to make those

Hmmm you mean javascript version? Java have nothing to do with javascript.. Well except that you can load js in java if thats what you mean. No idea how this could be implemented in micro edition, but also you will need access to browser. Well, i wish you good luck ;)

the link shown gives you examples on how it's done programs like MULTIAVCHD do this as well if you wish the point of J'S is like pointers giving directions
