I'm not sure what you are trying to do, but normally it isn't recommended to install PS3 Demo / Kiosk Firmware.

so your not going to give that list of firmware's then? if he wants to do it let him do it. also i think you have to be on 4.81 to install the demo version of it but DO NOT TAKE MY WORD FOR IT i could be wrong and no you cant mod with demo firmware AT ALL if thats what you were thinking.

So you are trying to install this PS3UPDAT.PUP (4.81 Demo OFW) by putting it inside of a /PS3/UPDATE folder you created (in CAPS) on a FAT32-formatted USB stick like in the diagram below?
